Custom security role cannot see Solutions? VERY URGENT

Hi there,

I have a custom security role which I have given Organisational read access to the Dataverse tables that they need to see. These tables are part of a managed solution which I imported to the environment from dev environment (I am System Administrator).

The user within this security role gets the following error when going to Solutions in the environment...

I have given the custom security role Organisational Read for all of the below in Custom Entities, but they still can't see the solution.

How can I resolve so that they can see the Solution and the apps, Dataverse tables within it, and the flows, without giving them System Customiser or System Administrator?

Thanks

K.

    Hi @Kosenurm ,

I looked at the System Customizer role and it does not have any of these set.  Did you try assigning the System Customizer role to the user to see if they have the ability to do what is needed?  If so then you could create a custom role from this and then remove things you would not want allowed vs. starting from scratch and adding things to it...

Yes. I gave System Customiser temporarily and they could see the Solutions and data tables etc without a problem.

What is yet more frustrating is that I copied Basic User, and gave this the Organisational-level Read permissions for the Dataverse tables within the Managed solution, but when they are in the Power App where this Dataverse table is used (a combobox control), no data appears. The user intermittently receives "The user is not a member of the organisation" when this isn't the case...

    All help welcome.

    Thanks

    K.

    Hi @Kosenurm ,

The approach I usually utilize is to copy the one that works (i.e. System Customizer) and remove the functions that I don't want the user to have.  Sometimes I go too far and they lose access and then I have to add back 😉  Not completely a science, sorry.
