Issue with sharing a model driven app with a basic user

Hello dear all,

This is a very biggener question.

When I share a model driven app  to a user who has the "Basic User" Security role define, the user cannot see the app. But when I define the same user as environment maker, or system admin, then he can see the app.

How can I make Basic users access my app ?

Thank you for your help.

    @taaji

You need to make sure that the basic role have the correct access to your model driven app.

    Please check the link below:

    Hi @taaji ,

Also with best practices you should create a custom security role for assignment to your end users.  The custom security role will allow you to add in your table permissions at the right level (user, business unit, parent /child business unit, organization) and protect you from changes of the base security roles.  The System Administrator role is given full rights but in this custom security role you would need to add the permissions you require and select your custom tables that you built with your model app.

    Hello dear Mirah,

Thank you for your response. Indeed, my user has a basic user security role assigned to him, and I assigned the app the basic user role too. I have shared the screen shot of the security role assigned to the app. Could you have a look and tell me if I did something wrong.

    Thank you for your reply,

I created a new role by copying basic user role. Since it doesn't work, I assigned basic user role, but this also doensn't work. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    Hi @taaji ,

I would be happy to jump on a Teams meeting and walk you through this.  I assume you have Power Apps Per App or Power Apps Per User licenses for the users that you are sharing with right?  Please private message me if you would like to do a call and walk through.

@taaji Is the end goal to share the model driven app via a web browser? If not then you should consider adding the app on teams and then sharing it.

    Hi @taaji ,

I see you marked your answer as the solution.  Did the call with me help, was it licensing that was the issue?  If so, it would be great to mark as the answer.  If it was something different and the answers provided did not align you to your solution then I understand you marked your own as the solution.

I communicated with @taaji today and he did not have licensing which was causing the issues.  We walked through the license requirements.

    Marking as solution.
