Display two additional fields associated with a lookup on a canvas app

All,

How is it possible to display two additional fields associated with a lookup on a canvas app.

I have one main vendor lookup column where I've checked off two additional column fields to be associated with this lookup vendor number and vendor id

On the Powerapp - when I add the vendor lookup to the canvas app it populates fine but I want the vendor number and vendor id to also display on the canvas app and they don't populate.

The card for the vendor number and vendor id are as such:

Can you share the LookUp function you are using to get the Vendor ID and Number in the default property of the cards.

Just to confirm, the Vendor has been submitted into the database is the vendor information you want to display is selected in the app?

@rpersad Correct - the vendor name which is the main lookup and the additional fields for the vendor id and vendor number as part of the lookup have been populated.

Where I am running into issue is in the PowerApp when I select the vendor name from the drop down the fields for the vendor id and vendor number do not populate or display.

Given you are using the ThisItem function which would reference the record from your DataSource. If you would like to get the vendor's ID and number from the selected vendor in the dropdown box you have to reference the dropdown box instead of the record.

So to get the veondor's ID instead of, ThisItem.'Vendor Name: Oracle ID', use {Dropdown box name}.Selected.'Vendor Name

@rpersad To confirm the reference would be at the datacard level or the actual field value?

When I try the following syntax at the Default DataCard for the Oracle ID field as such - I get this error so I'm not sure on the exact syntax to utilize:

    Invalid use of .

At the card value level I get the same error:

Oh the curly brackets was just to represent a placeholder value for the dropdown box name. So you do not require them. You can reference the field value in this case it being the dropdown control.

@rpersad Thanks finally got this to work after following your steps and adding a dropdown box in the datacard control then the items displayed.
