Hello,
I am new to PowerApps and want to demo a PowerApps that I created to a client. How do I demo to a client that doesn't have any licenses? Does the client need a license to see the app I created?
Thanks in advance!
If the client is logging in with their account then yes they will need an appropriate license. If you have a developer account and login with your account then they can see and use the app as long as you are showing it to them.
Hi charlotte1234
When you say 'demo', would you not drive the app, and merely share your screen with the customer? This way, you demo the app, but you have full control over it, avoiding any issue(s)
Canvas PowerApps cannot be shared externally, at least afaik. I have seen some organisations that are able to share the apps externally with other Microsoft organisations, but these external 'tenants' needs to be added to the organisation in question, either explicitly from the Admin Centre, or as guests in Azure.
Canvas Apps can be shared externally, but the external user must have a license. The license can be from their tenant or the original tenant. Here's the documentation. Share a canvas app with guest users (contains video) - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn
Thy also need to be guest users on your tenant. You can't just let any external account access your app.
Guest users are external users who have accepted an invitation to access your system yes. But they are still external users.
