I need to assign roles in a secured environment to AAD groups.  I (think) I need to use a group team to do this, unless there is a better way.  I am creating an AAD security group team, but getting stuck on what "Membership type" (Members & guests, Members, Owners, Guests) actually means.  If I will eventually be assigning roles to this team, what specifically does this field do?  The documentation doesn't appear to go into detail, and I've been unable to find much elsewhere.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @davetheteamsguy,

The option determines what types of user membership from the Azure AD group is added to the group team. You may have several different users in a single group, but perhaps in Dataverse you want to provide a different level of access for Guests compared to Members (or Admins). This option allows you to do that by creating separate group teams for the same group but different mmebership type.
