Default value for Dropdown

I have a landing page that has 3 Icons

Good, Bad, Excellent

I have set up a variable name "ReviewVar"

When A user clicks on one of the Icon, I update the Variable with the specific text and navigate to a second screen with a Form.

I will like a Dropdown box on the Form to be assigned the Value in the Variable. How do I do this?

So essentially I want DropdownBoxA=reviewVar.

Setting the Default property of the Dropdown on the second screen to ReviewVar will do what you want as long as the user hasn't made a selection in the Dropdown.  If a user has made a selection then Reset(dropdownname) will reset it to pick up the default value.

    I am getting an error.

The Dropdown is a type Choice. Does that affect it?

    Hi @Canadiansal ,

If it is a Choice column then you will need to set the DefaultSelectItems of the Combo box or Default of the Dropdown to:

    LookUp(Choices(DataTable.ChoiceColumn),Value = ReviewVar)

    Hope this helps.

    I am getting this Far

    LookUp(Choices(Datasource,ThisItem.Category,Value(

    Powerapps automatically inserts the bracket.

When I remove it and type = the variable name, I get an "unexpected characters" error.

    Hi @Canadiansal ,

The syntax of Choices function should be:

    Choices(DataTable.ChoiceColumn)

Note that it is a DOT instead of COMMA.
