Need some assistance with a Gallery and combo box.

I have a gallery (Monitoring Database Gallery) that is linked to a Dataverse table called Monitoring Database. In my app I have a screen that has a form that is linked to a table called drop outs.

Both tables have the same fields (i.e. "Project Code", "Performance Year" and "Performance Quarter").

I am trying to set the form control combo box of performance year in (Drop Outs) to be equal to the performance year value in the selected gallery item.

For the Project Code in the Drop Outs Form I used the formular (Monitoring Database Gallery. Selected. 'project code') in the default property and it worked like a charm.

The performance year and performance quarter are both choice columns and do not respond in the same manner. Any ideas on how to achieve this using the default property of the combo box?
