Seeking guidance from anyone who has built a Copilot Studio agent capable of retrieving all groups and their members from Microsoft Entra ID

Need a little more information.

The pulling of the data is easy, that is done via a Flow and there are plenty of examples that exist, so the real question is, what is the end to end scenario you are trying to build versus just this part of it.

That will help.

But as an example.

You could create a Topic where if a person asks for the list (which would be huge and take a long while to run, as there are many groups that have nothing to do with people exactly).

Topic Triggers

You create a Tool (aka a flow) that goes off and lists all the groups (security, distribution, O/M365) and creates an array or a string or whatever you want, and pass that back to the Topic.

Then the topic does whatever it is you want to do with it, assuming the message isn't too big to handle.

Thanks, Michael. I believe the piece I'm missing is how to establish the connection between Copilot Studio and Entra. I'm not quite sure how to set that up.

BTW I wanted to clarify also,

Do you want all different types (Security, Distribution, M/O365?).

And how do you want it formatted? As many groups will be within other groups as well, so are you looking for a giant hierarchy?
