Power Apps Mobile Image Upload Issue After Recent Updates

Hello everyone,

I have a Power Apps Canvas app that allows users to upload images using Power Automate. It was working perfectly fine, but suddenly,  it is no longer uploading images correctly from mobile devices. However, it still works fine when using a web browser.

Currently Using PowerApp version: 3.25031.10

Issue Details:

  • From Browser: Image uploads work as expected, and contentBytes contains a proper Base64-encoded string.
From Mobile (Android/iOS): Instead of a proper Base64 string, contentBytes contains a short path reference like:

L1Nlc3Npb25TdG9yYWdlLzhCMjcxODZFLTRGMjYtNDNDNy1BQTY5LTBCMDZFMDA3N0Y4MS5qcGVn

What I Have Tried So Far:

✅ Checked if Power Automate Flow is Receiving Data Properly:

  • When sending from the browser, Power Automate receives a full Base64-encoded image.
  •  When sending from mobile, Power Automate receives a short file path reference instead.
  • Android & iOS apps fail to upload images properly.
  •  Web browser (Chrome, Edge) works fine.

✅ Checked Power Apps Release Notes & Community Posts:
  • Couldn't find any official update or fix for this issue.

I would recommend to open a support ticket to check with the product team, it is look like there is a unexpected behaviour with this control in mobile devices.
