I populate a column within a collection from a multi select combo box in a gallery. When the gallery refreshes the value of the combo box values disappear but the combo select data is retained in my collection. I understand that I should set the combo box default value to the values stored in the collection but I can’t just figure out how to get the values in the collection column which is a table of selected values to populate the combo box. Please see attached example of my collection column
Hi @Esox76
I probably don't quite understand your issue but here's a stab at it. I'm not sure why you used a collection instead of a variable but it may not matter. In my example below I used a contact list called Fake Names. I put a combobox into a gallery and set its properties for multiselect and its Items property of a list cities in the table by using the Distinct function. By pressing the ">" icon, a global variable is created for the selected cities and the result is shown in the datatable on the right. This variable can be used anywhere in the app to provide Items for a different gallery, table, dropdown control, etc. No collection is needed and the variable will persist until another item in the gallery is selected.
Sorry I'm using gallery to display a 100 questions in my app and based on a configuration table the gallery display one question per row which could be a text, combo or date picker , so I have logic which hides and display the appropriate control for the particular question which could be a combo box or textbox etc
I capture all the data in a single row of a collection and all I'm trying to do is repopulate the multi selected values back from what I have added into the collection to re-display in the control
