Hello:
What is the best way to ensure that we are backing up the bot? Is there a way, for instance, to download a representation of the bot so that if say one day we login and all the topics are gone, we can just go to the latest downloaded representation, upload the representation, and are back in business?

You can export the bot to save an instance as a backup. See documentation here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/authoring-export-import-bots.
