Hi there,
I am just an enthusiast who jumped into the opportunity of creating an app with PowerApps to allocate subject matter experts (SMEs) to projects. The app functions based on selecting an SME and assigning time to a project, and the time is broken down into percentages, i.e. 10% half day. The maximum allocation is 60% (three days) as SMEs also have other priorities to meet.
My data source comes from an MS list I created for the sole reason of building my app. The app screen shows two containers: a left container where you find all SME names, and you can include a new SME and a search bar. The second container is where you can find all projects, time allocation and a free text box to name the task.
I want to make this more efficient by locking an SME once the maximum allocation has been reached. Also, I would like to prompt the free text box to be unique to each project (I'm assuming I might have to do this with some JSON on my MS List).
I have included a screenshot of the app screen for your visualisation.
I have done some research, and I have managed to build a functioning app with more or less no knowledge of how to use the platform. I have also fixed a few bugs that I encountered along the way. So far, I haven't seen what I am looking for on any videos or forums.
If any of you could help, it would be much appreciated.
