Is Azure MCP available in Copilot Studio? Can it be used via a Custom Connector?

Hi everyone,

I noticed that Azure MCP (Model Context Protocol) is available in VS Code, but I couldn't find it in Copilot Studio.

Some people say it's available under the MCP section in Copilot Studio, but I don't see it. Can someone confirm if Azure MCP is currently supported in Copilot Studio ?

Also, I heard we can integrate Azure MCP using a custom connector. If anyone has done this, could you please share the original code or even a sample code? It would be really helpful.

Yes you can create custom connectors. Here are some examples

Extend your agent with Model Context Protocol - Microsoft Copilot Studio | Microsoft Learn

I am NOT aware that its available directly in Copilot yet. I am going to assume that all will be, especially from Microsoft, but for sure now you can use custom connectors.
