Hi
The documentation for the System Administrator role has an ambiguous statement "The scope of these privileges is global unless specified otherwise here in this document" -> https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/database-security#predefined-security-roles.
How can I confine the System Administrator role to an individual environment (I am told using the System Customiser role is bad practice in managed environments)?
Regards
Nigel
Dataverse security roles are bound to the instance. If for example you have the same user with System Administrator in instance A he does not automatically have System Administrator (or any security role) inside an instance B in the same tenant.
Hi @NigelP ,
System Administrator Role is available at Environment level only.
The below line still address the environment itself and not something like "Global Admin" to cover all environments:
"The scope of these privileges is global unless specified otherwise here in this document"

Thanks
