Hello Community,
I've been working on a Power Platform workshop concept with which I want to help customers integrate the Power Platform into their company ecosystem. Regarding the Backup and Restore topic, I have some questions I couldn't find the answers to anywhere. Therefore, I wanted to ask you if you know (from experience), how these things work.
- Is it possible to backup a flow that is currently running? E.g., you have an approval flow that runs for 3 days and is currently running. You decide to make a backup of the solution the flow is in 1 day after the trigger event. Is this possible?
- Is it possible to restore a running flow like the running approval flow I mentioned? Like, you decide to restore it when the flow is actually running. Does it work?
- The Power Apps have version history, so you can restore an older version of the app. But where do these backups reside? Where does Microsoft keep these app versions?
- Are there some tools that can do backups like backing up the different Power App app versions? And for Dynamics as well?
- What is Microsoft's backup strategy regarding Power Platform components? So how long are apps and flows saved generally? Are there differences in the licenses (standard, premium) regarding what is saved and where and for how long?
I appreciate it if you can share your knowledge regarding my questions :).
Best regards,
Dog
