"Assign" functionality in model driven app

Hi Guys,

Can you please share "Assign" functionality in the MDApps . When the record is assigned to a user does he receive an email ?

Actually I need to send a notification email to the user not sure how to achieve this functionality please advise.

Hello @skolisetti,

Open Model Driven Apps --> then Click Gear Icon at the Top (near to Advance Find)--> then Click Advance Settings --> then select Process

then click on New --> then Provide the Process Name(then Select Entity based on your need) --> Click Ok

once Page Opened --> Make Sure you are selecting Record is Assigned

then Click Add Step and select Send Email

then you can choose TO/CC/BCC according to your convenience

Thank you so much Ram.

But after assigning to myself the status is showing as waiting state and with email recipient error message . Anything am i missing here ? . I'm just assigning the record to myself.

Hi @skolisetti,

Can you please make sure you have Set the Properties for Send Email

As per the Error it states TO/CC/BCC (any one field should contains data)

Hi @skolisetti ,

You will also need to make sure whomever you are "Sending" as in the email is configured for email in the model app. This will require a few steps as found here... https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/connect-exchange-online
