SharePoint Displaying wrong date

Correct date is entered into DOB field within list, but wrong date is being displayed.
If I edit column and change to Friedly version, the correct date is shown, however, we just want a DD/MM/YYYY format (no time)
I am in Melbourne, and regional settings are set to UTC + 10 Melbourne, with a 24 hour time format 
Can anyone help
