How to sort a repeating control in a word template

I have a repeating control in my Word template.  It has 3 fields from a Payment Plan table - Installment No., Due Date and Amount Due.  When I populate the template by calling the "ExportWordDocument" API from javascript, the payment plan data is correct, but not in the sequence I want which is by Installment No.  Is there a way to control the sequence of the records in the repeating control?

    Looking a solution for this one as well, I was thinking to use a plugin to override createdon field (which is what the sorting is based on and you cannot change it), but it looks like this field cannot be modified! Very frustrating!
