suggested topics Power Virtual Agents

Good Morning,

I've been trying to use the "suggested topics" option in Power Virtual agents, but I haven't been successful in my tests. After I insert the link of a PDF, DOCX or CSV file, he cannot identify the questions or the answers, in addition he receives a message "We found problems getting suggestions for some of the links. View the details of each one and try again "or" Sign in ".

This option is not doing very well in my tests. Has anyone used it? and would there be an example of a file that would work and also the link format (One drive, sharepoint)?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Power Virtual Agents have the ability to extract suggestions from CSV, DOCX, and PDF files hosted on a webpage (public and need to contain the https protocol).

Do you know if you follow the requirements?

    Hello @Anonymous

From my experience, SharePoint is not yet supported as it requires a login.

you could have the file in a OneDrive folder. Just make sure it’s publicly available while you extract the content.

I have played around with it a bit and it does work.  There are a couple specific requirements.

    1) The content must be available from an https:// web site.

    2) The content must be available for anonymous access.  So it can't be on SharePoint or OneDrive.

    3) The content should be formatted as questions and answers.

Here's a good complex web page sample from Microsoft's documentation.  I've tried it and it does work.

I tried this website, and after about 2-3 minutes it returns with an error message. After changing the URL to the URL the website in your post mentions (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/faq), the Suggest Topics option still returns "The request timed out. Getting suggestions took too long. Try links with less content."
Pretty much any other link generates the same response.
Is this something that is broken in my subscription of PVA, or is this now broken for everyone?

This is an old post. Suggested Topics has been replaced by a new feature called Generative answers.  You can read about it here: Generative answers - Power Virtual Agents | Microsoft Learn
