AI builder : model xlsx data extraction from various collection

Hi, 

 

We receive lot of  xlsx documents with lot of different formats. We were thinking of using AI builder to set or model & collection & extract data to our data base (document automation process) but it seems xlsx is not supported. Do you have any solution in mind?

    Can you convert the xlsx data directly to text before processing it?

    Ex:

    Get Rows (Excel)
    Apply to each
    Append the values to string

     

    For AI Builder Document Processing specifically, excel format is not supported. The features exists in Form Recognizer preview model (OCR for documents - Form Recognizer - Azure Applied AI Services | Microsoft Learn) - an alternative could be to build a custom connector to Form Recognizer. Once the capability goes GA in Form Recognizer, we will look to integrate it into AI Builder but no ETA to communicate yet at this time. AI Builder only surfaces GA capabilities from Azure Form Recognizer.
