How to ask for the same question after user selection

Hi there,

Silly question

If I have a question with 3 possible answers and my user choose answer 2, but for some reason want to review answer 3 how can I do a loop until the user has reviewed the answers needed?

    Hey there @sajarac,

I don't believe there are any native functions that would allow you to do that, however, if you include a Question asking the User if they'd like to try the Question again, you could include a conditional where if they say Yes, you can trigger a Redirect action that sends them back to an earlier topic, like the greeting, where they'd be able to type in the trigger phrases to re-enter the topic and then select that other option.

    Hope that helps!

I would look at accomplishing this with Bot Framework composer.

    Hey @sajarac,

I did some digging after Monkeyman's comment, and I was able to use Bot Framework Composer to set up the behavior you were looking for! I'll attach the diagrams of it below:

In short, you will want to set up a Bot Framework Composer Dialog like so, by asking the user a question in the same way you would within PVA, which is then followed up by a secondary question asking if they wish to repeat the question. If they say yes, the Repeat this dialog option will be called, allowing an instant retry of the question.

There is one very important step you must take with this layout, though. On both User Input (Choice) nodes, you must click on the Other tab, and set the Prompt Configuration titled "Always Prompt" to true, like so:

If you do not do this, the Bot will re-use the same responses it initially received for those questions, which will both not allow your user to find any other information, and will create an infinite loop that the Bot will fail out of.

Since you mentioned that you have not touched Bot Framework Composer at all yet, I'll also leave you some of the documentation for it below, to help you get started:

    Hope that helps!

@SupportBryn , Thank you very much for this very well explained tutorial. I have no experience at all in bot Framework. But I will investigate.

    Thanks again.
