Hi all,

We are very excited to announce that Power Virtual Agents with the Unified Bot Building Canvas is now Generally Available in all commercial geos.  This new release, being announced at Microsoft Build 2023, includes more generative AI features to preview in Microsoft Power Virtual Agents. Together, these features disrupt the traditional model of bot development and transform how conversational experiences are built.

  • Unified bot building canvas (including new enhancements since public preview) —Generally available
  • Copilot in Power Virtual Agents—Generally available
  • New Generative Actions capabilities—Limited preview
  • Generative Answers capabilities (including Sharepoint & custom data sources) —Public preview
  • Azure custom language model integration—Public preview
  • Instant generative bots for Microsoft Power Pages—Public preview

In addition, the team has extended the core capabilities that were introduced at public preview:

  • PVA now supports emitting telemetry data to Azure App Insights for rich logging and traces
  • Ability to manipulate JSON returned from power-automate objects with the new Parse Variable node
  • Interactive Adaptive Cards with the "Ask with an Adaptive Card" node in the authoring canvas
  • The new generative answers node, which lets you use Generative Answers anywhere in your bot's content
  • Ability to send raw Bot Framework Activities and Events directly within Power Virtual Agents
  • A new live demo ( https://aka.ms/pvademo) that lets you experience generative answers before creating your PVA account

Please check out our blog post ( https://Aka.ms/PVA-Build23 ) for more information about the new improvements in Power Virtual Agents, and if you're at Microsoft Build, we'll be appearing in Low Code and AI sessions throughout the event.

Watch this video overview to see the full arc of modern bot building in action. And get your bot up and chatting with Power Virtual Agents—generally available today.

Thank you!

    Hi @Jameslew_MSFT ,

How can I migrate my current PVA(Classic) to new Canvas? Previously, there was an option under preview and now there is no option to migrate to new Canvas.

    Thanks

    Hi @experienced_pva ,

It's still there. Go to "Overview" page and click on "Convert this bot"

    Hi @Robulane ,

I have migrated to new Canvas and its extremely slow. What could be the reason?

The new authoring canvas should be faster than the old one. The first loading may be a little bit slow to initialize everything. If you experience the constant low performance while previous experience was good, please create a ticket to MS support. It requires investigation, it's hard to say what is going wrong.

Great news! Do you know when the new version of PVA will be available for GCC clients?

This is in progress, and should be coming soon.  I don't have a specific date to share, but it is a priority for us.

That would be great! We have not received an update in GCC in a long, long time for PVA. I know it was put on hold with all the changes coming with AI. Hopefully we will see a roadmap date in the not-too-distant future. Thanks for the update!
