Play YouTube shorts on Power App

Hello!

I have a Power App that has screens with YouTube Videos embedded via a gallery, connected to a SharePoint list.

This has worked perfectly up until I was asked to upload a YouTube short. These videos don't seem to play, so I wondered if anyone had encountered this issue and knew of a solution or work around?

This is how it currently works on a screen, I have a gallery which has a video inserted into it:

Then on the gallery Items, I have this, which finds the row from the SharePoint list of the video I want to play

Then my SharePoint list just has a title column and a link column - the link for YouTube videos has always worked.

If anyone has any tips that would be great!

Hello @jap11

It looks like YouTube has a different way of embedding YouTube Shorts. Try this code out:

It will remove anything after the shorts' video ID and replace shorts with keyword embed.

Substitute(First(Split("https://youtube.com/shorts/LKBA6-8d3nc?si=mvTdAIC3r8RkAFkQ","?")).Value,"shorts","embed")
