I have a PVA chatbot, I want to add that chatbot in the teams meeting side panel, so that users can add that as a bot in teams side panel
@PowerUser0 I think so - PVA does have some limitations and with that documentation it only mentioned the Azure bot so I'd be pretty confident that only the Azure bot would do what you're looking for.
@gregmarbais Even I am not sure if this is possible, I think then I should skip PVA bot and go with Azure bot right?
@PowerUser0 I've not seen adding a bot like that. I only build the web bots so it may be the Azure Bot is the only one compatible right now. I did try to add a PVA web bot to a meeting and all it did was open a chat with the bot itself (outside the meeting). I'll be curious to see if someone else has experience getting a bot in the side bar of a Teams meeting.
@gregmarbais Thanks for your response, so basically I am trying to do couple of things I will explain you with screenshot, hope you can give more clarity on the possibility of these.
1. I am trying to add the PVA chatbot as an app.
When user click on + symbol he/she should see the PVA in the list of apps available
2. Once added my bot should be available in the teams meeting side panel on the right hand side, let me add an app and show you
So as you can see I have added a Q&A widget as a sample, in similar manner I want my PVA chatbot to be available there.

@PowerUser0 can you add more detail on how you are looking to use the PVA chatbot in Teams?
I've created a couple chat bots that we use externally and made them available through Teams to employees. It's not too difficult, you basically have to go to Publish, click on Channels, Click on Microsoft Teams. Then a flyout on the right will appear. And you have to click Turn On Teams. Here's the documentation with visuals.
The only challenge I ran into was that each time you publish the bot (first time or subsequent times), the Microsoft Administrator had to go in and approve the new bot before others could use it. The really odd part was that I could add it to teams and use it so I didn't even realize it was an issue till the team told me they couldn't find the bot in Teams.
But that should get you the ability to add the bot to the left menu bar (the vertical one) and even add the bot to an existing chat or teams channels with others.
I've not tried to add a bot to a meeting but, once approved by your Teams Administrator, I'd be curious if you could add a bot to the meeting chat and then mention it to start that conversation.
