Copilot Agent Missing from Copilot Studio – Link Broken in SharePoint Deployment

I created a Copilot Agent using Copilot Studio to retrieve specific information from certain files. The agent was working as expected initially. However, last week I noticed the following issues

  • The agent is no longer visible in Copilot Studio.
  • In the SharePoint folder where the agent was deployed, the agent still appears, but the link shows as broken.
  • The agent was deployed to a SharePoint site for internal use.
  • No major changes were made to the SharePoint site or permissions recently (as far as I know).
  • I have checked my environment settings and permissions in Power Platform Admin Center, but didn’t find anything unusual.
  • The agent was created under my account, and I still have access to Copilot Studio.
  • There were no error messages during the initial deployment.

Questions for the Community:

  • What could cause a Copilot Agent to disappear from Copilot Studio while still showing in SharePoint with a broken link?
  • Are there any known issues or updates that might affect Copilot Agent visibility or deployment links?
  • What steps should I take to restore the agent or re-establish the link?
  • Is there a way to check if the agent is still active in the environment or if it was deleted?

This usually happens due to an environment or deployment mismatch rather than a product bug. The Copilot agent may no longer be visible in Copilot Studio if it was deleted, orphaned, or is tied to a different Power Platform environment. SharePoint can still show the agent because it keeps a reference to the old deployment, but if the agent no longer exists or is inaccessible, the link will appear broken.

First, make sure you are using the same Power Platform environment in which the agent was originally created. Then ask an environment admin to check the Power Platform Admin Center to confirm whether the agent still exists or if any deletion or cleanup activity occurred. If the agent still exists, redeploying it to SharePoint usually resolves the issue. If it was deleted, the agent cannot be restored and a Microsoft support ticket will be required
