Hi all, can anyone advise on device based licensing? I want to implement AI chatbot at office building. so will be used by all employees.

The chatbot will be developed using the Microsoft Power Platform, leveraging:

Copilot Studio: Chatbot development.
AI Builder & Azure Cognitive Services: Speech-to-text and text-to-speech processing.
Power Automate: Workflow automation and data processing.
SharePoint/Dataverse: Storing policy documents and chatbot logs.
Azure Speech Services: Custom voice modulation with a male Indian accent.

hey

what exactly do you mean with device based licensing? every user using the app (no matter which device) would need a premium license so that they can use the app.

so not only the developing team but also the end users would need licenses.

So basically, the ChatBot will be on a tablet at the entrance of the building. Its to be mainly used by blue collar staff.

What is the best approach?

If you only need IT for this one device and they share the device without logging into IT Person by Person you would only need 2 licenses, one for the Developer and one for the shared Tablet

If they need to sign in and Out, every Person would need a licenses
