How to add custom button to particular table using command bar designer?

Hi all,

I am adding a custom button in Model driven application using command bar designer. I can see that it is specific to that app. But I want to export it to other environment, and I don't want to move the application. I want to know how I can add the button to specific table like how we do in ribbon workbench.

Thank you.

I have the same question (0)

In order to be able to add to a specific table you will need to do it from within the context of the App please follow below steps:

    1. Add your app to a solution

    2. Click to Edit your app

    3. From the pages navigation

You can't directly go to the table and add the command bar there but if you want to not deploy the whole application then after editing your command bar you can remove the app and only leave the component library but if it is the first time you are creating a new button you should move both the app and the component Library.

Hi @Mira_Ghaly , Thank you for reply.

I am creating a JavaScript button, so there is no component library. I am trying to move my solution from the environment with Customer service instance to the environment which does not includes customer service instance. If I add my customer service hub app to the solution, wont I need to add all the dependency tables and components as well to my solution? which I don't want to do.

Currently I have created a new custom model driven app. But I just wanted to know, whether I can add it to specific table and export it to other environment without depending on the application.

    Thank you.

You don't need to add any dependency unless it is not on the target environment

Adding the custom button on a custom app won't show the button on the customer service hub.

Using the command bar in the new makes it visible only on your app, if you want it the old way you can still use the ribbon workbench.
