My app is basically a contact directly and sometimes when I click on a contact, the app glitches and the contact opens improperly (see below). I have tried to make the items all not auto-sized, but that did not mollify the problem.

Any suggestions?

Does your app run well within your web browser?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

Please take a try to add the following formula within the OnSelect property of the "Navigate" button in your Main Screen (click "Navigate" button to navigate to your current screen where the issue occurs😞

Refresh('YourDataSource')

Also please check if the version of PowerApps Mobile App in your iOS device is the latest version, if not, please upgrade it into the latest version, try your app again, check if the issue is solved.

In addition, please take a try to turn off the "Improved app rendering (final validation)" option within Advanced settings of App settings of your app, then re-publish your app, check if the issue is solved.

If the issue still exists, please consider take a try to re-create a new app based on your data source, then run it again, check if the issue still exists.

To answer your first question, no, the app also glitches the same way in the web browser.
I am not sure I understand your recommendation about OnSelect for the Navigate button because I already have this command in the OnSelect: Navigate(DetailScreen1, ScreenTransition.None).

Turning off the Improved App Rendering options made the glitch a little better. The contacts still open like the first picture, but they self correct instead of having to go back and forth a couple times. Can you explain what the app rendering is and what the change did?

The "Improved app rendering (final validation)" functionality within Advanced settings of App settings of your app is used to improve your app's rendering.

But currently within PowerApps, there still have something issue with this feature. When you enable this feature, you may face some Compatibility issue with your web browser or your Mobile device.

As an alternative solution, you could consider take a try to disable/turn off this feature, then your app would be rendered in a classic mode.
