The long import time is expected with Vibe Coding — it's pulling all the data locally into the AI context so it can generate the app, which is slow for large lists.
The faster approach is to skip the import completely and just connect SharePoint as a live data source instead. In normal Power Apps (canvas), you add SharePoint directly under Data sources and it connects in seconds without importing anything — the data stays in SharePoint and the app queries it on demand.
Vibe Coding is still early and the SharePoint import experience isn't great yet. If speed matters, build it in regular canvas Power Apps and point it to your SharePoint list directly.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
For my regular work, I use Power Apps (Canvas Apps). However, since Vibe Power Apps has introduced a new SharePoint data source option, I would like to connect to it and explore how it works. I’m particularly interested in understanding this new connection, its functionality, and any limitations it may have.
