Hello everyone,

I'm a new PowerApp user and I've got two questions regarding the platform.

Q1: Does anyone know if PowerApps the platform is ISO certified?

Q2: Let's say I've build an app. Can I use this app as a template for a brand new application?

Thnx in advance.

    Hi! 😺

You can find details about the ISO certification of PowerApps here (PowerApps is in-scope for the following ISO certs):
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-27001
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-27017

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-27018

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-9001

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-22301

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-20000-1-2011

Yes, you can definitely re-use Apps to build other Apps - or you can create a template App to use when making other Apps

    Cheers,

    Sancho

    Hi @Anonymous ,

For your first question, yes, the PowerApps is in Microsoft ISO/IEC scope list. Please check the following article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-27018#microsoft-in-scope-cloud-services

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/offering-iso-27017#microsoft-in-scope-cloud-services

For your second question, yes, you could re-use the app within PowerApps, you could also share your app with other users in your Organization/external users.

    Sharing app in PowerApps

You could also consider copy your canvas app, and save it as another name, then re-customize it to meet your needs as a new app. You may also need to save your canvas app into a .msapp file in your local PC, then you could re-use it within any PowerApps Environment in different tenant.

    Best regards,
