Hi,
I have gone through the documentation part for pricing on Power apps which includes 3 plans 5$ per user/per plan, 10$:pay as you go plan and the 20$ plan. My queries were as follows:
1. I had to create an application which has few user roles, so as my organization has Microsoft 365 basic plan (I guess Office E1). I am able to create canvas apps but when I tried creating an environment I couldn't. So for creating environments do we need licensing and if I have to create user roles like Admin, User so for that which subscription would be good choice (considering one app with many users accessing it)
2. To create user roles in Power apps do we require to purchase a license?. How do we create user roles with specific access (like Admin: allowed to create new users and can access all the data, user can only access i.e Read/Write data for a specific information like managing the team members details)
3. If I purchase the basic plan i.e. $5 plan in that what all features do I get?. Also can I access the Azure Active directory using this plan (as Azure AD also has its own subscriptions)
4. The user in the plan does it denote end users or both end users and developers?. If I purchase the 5$ plan then I can create applications and access them?.
5. If I create an application and want to share it with an end user but they do not have the licensing so can they access it?.
6. In Power app can we create any entities with attributes like User Entity: Name (String), DOB (date), Age (Integer) and create associations with other in-built entities like Account?
Like in Mendix (which is also a low-code platform we can create an entity and define attributes in it and associate it with user-created entities or in-built ones)
Entities in Mendix and their associations:
I was going through the pricing documentation pdf: (Link: https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/6/9568EFD0-403D-4AE4-95F0-7FACA2CCB2E4/Power%20Platform%20Licensing%20Guide%20January%202023.pdf)
I did not understand D365 restricted table access what is its use?.
7. I will be using Power apps to create applications for Internal use in my organization in that case will it sensible to purchase the 3 pans which I mentioned above or the developer plan?.
8. What is the difference between Developer plan and the other plans that I just mentioned (5$, 10$, 20$)
From the above picture what I understand is developer plan is used to create applications, and test them but if we want to share these apps we need to purchase the production plan which are 5$, 10$ pay as you go and 20$ is it correct?.
9. For developer plan: the requirement is either the individual is student or professional backed with Azure Active Directory can sign up for the Developers plan. So in that case do I need to only purchase the Azure AD plan if I want to get started with Power apps developer plan?.
