Hi,
How can I be able to use an uploaded excel file in PowerApps and trigger a flow that updates an existing SharepointList? I'm seeing tutorials that uploads the excel file first to sharepoint, what I need is to use the file directly. Is this possible?
Hi @fyra ,
I think the answer is yes, but you might need to tell us more about the thing you want to do related to this excel file.
You can use the file directly either in power apps or power automate flow because there is Excel connector for both of them, and you can read the data inside and do related data operations in SharePoint list as well. But all of these depend on what you want to do. Maybe you can provide one sample so that we can help you in details.
Best Regards,

Hi @HenWang. Thankyou for the reply. What an idea I have is to to update an existing SharepointList with the data from the newly uploaded excel file through power apps. I think I would need a flow for it. Would you maybe suggest how to start or the next step in the power automate flow after the power apps steps?
Instead of using the flow, power apps can directly do the update action for you, you can directly use the patch function in power apps to achieve it.
Still, could you tell me how do you "upload" the excel file through power apps? and does this excel file hold a table inside?
