PowerApps - licensing - CDS - Premium Connector and Dynamics 365 licenses

Hi there,

We're medium size organisation (approx 400 users) and we have Dynamics 365 Customer Service App previously known as Dynamics CRM. Therefore majority of user have either Dynamics 365 Customer Service Enterprise license or Dynamics 365 Team Member license.

Last year Microsoft made couple of changes which affect our PowerApp strategy. We have an app which is storing data in CDS (Common Data Service) and this connector became premium.

However recently I've noticed that some users are having problems with accessing our PowerApp app.

Do you know if users with Dynamics licenses will loose an access to PowerApps with Premium connectors?

I have the same question (0)

so all dynamics licensed users (except team member licenses) are also licensed for CDS based power apps.

this hasn't really changed--the changes were that now people with per user or per app licensing for power apps also have access to common data service, but not the Dynamics restricted functionality, like cases

The "premium" doesn't mean that dynamics users cannot use it. Premium just means it isn't included in the O365 only licensed users.

Again--any dynamics licensed user that doesn't have a team member or professional licensing has access to power apps. If you have customer service professional or team member, you may need additional licensing for those users.

Also, "premium" connectors can also be third party connectors that you need to have a license for that service to use, such as gotomeeting.

    Hello,

As mentioned in the power apps Licensing guide, if user has Dynamics 365 Customer Service Enterprise license, then it should allow users to access premium connectors.
