Hi there,
Silly question here:
If I created my team i.e Sales Team
and inside my team by default I have I have a channel "General"
If I create a new channel for instance "Chat Support" is possible to have the bot in that channel? I mean the users in my team theny know that they can go to that channel and start interacting with the chatbot?
If this is possible please point me in the right direction.
Thanks
Thank you. I got it now. It's not exactly the best experience for the end user. because you have to mention the bot everytime. But, I guess we have to train the end user to use it in this way or in a chat window outside of the Channel.
I guess, in my personal opinion if you have a Channel "Sales Team" is a good option to have a second channel ChatBot Help or something to avoid navegation.
Anyway thank you very much for your help
🙂
Hi @sajarac,
Have you tried using an at-mention in combination with one of your topics trigger phrases, does that work?
1. For example Lesson 1 - A simple topic.
2. At mention with the text 'When are you closed' should give you back the store hours.
Hey @Expiscornovus , thank you very much I did it but, for some reason the bot can't continue interacting with me. it's like if I said @mychatbot, the bot replies with the trigger phrase. Then I want to continue and nothings happen.
But if I do it in the chat section the bot works fine.
Thank you very much for your prompt response. Sorry I am a little bit confused. Because if I start typing in the General channel for instance "Hi" nothing happens. And that is one of the default trigger phrases.
Teams currently only support adding bot to a Team - in your example "Sales Team". Bot will in turn greet everyone in "General" channel, but will be available in any channel of that team, including "Chat Support".
