Hello,
I created a few tables (Teams Dataverse), bulk loaded with Data Flow (power query). Once I want to edit data on any of them from the Table menu, I notice some of custom fields are shown as Read-Only. It's not like whole the record is in Read Only, but randomly some of its fields. I made comparison between each fields settings, editable field or Read Only field, and I didn't identify any difference that could explain why some became Read Online while other are still Editable.
If I insert a new row, I am neither able to edit the "Read Only" fields.
(Table type are User or Team owner. Quick create form is enable. )
Any common experience, feedback or workaround.
thank you for your help. (I am stuck 😉
Hello,
Yes of course, in the screenshot below, the first field Code Actif = "Asset Code" is editable like some other, the 2 next to it Addresses, are editable and show Read Only.
Here under the properties of Address fields :

Hi @Tristan21 ,
We have had a couple of others have this issue in Dataverse for Teams with Date and Choices columns. We have recommended they open cases with Microsoft, I assume this is a bug / issue with the Dataverse for Teams not being able to update these columns directly in Edit. It works fine if you add them to the form on the Canvas app from what I understand and update that way.
Example posts with similar issue: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Dataverse/Choices-column-in-dataverse-table-write-protected/m-p/1247820#M13693
Another example (with a possible work-around): https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Dataverse/How-do-I-change-Dataverse-table-columns-from-read-only-to/m-p/780307#M8775
Hope this helps. Please accept if answers your question or Like if helps in any way.
Thanks,
Drew
