Delete Managed Solution in PROD Environment - Delete Components

Hi lovely community,

I have 2 managed Solutions in PROD Environment (just as example):

  • Main Solution (all components inside)
  • Flow Solution (only 1 Flow I had to change inside called "Process Flow" for my example)

History of Solution Update on Environment:

1. Import of Main Solution

2. Import of Flow Solution to update only my Process Flow of Main Solution

--> My Process Flow is now part of 2 managed Solutions in PROD Environment

What happens with Process FLow when I delete the Flow Solution? Process Flow will be deleted of the whole Environment, also from Main Solution?

Do I have always to Import the whole Solution (Main Solution) when I have changed small stuff? (Needs much more time..)

Thank you!

BR,

Sven

    Hi @Anton_Dali_UKR ,

thank you for explanation! I was hoping about this 🙂

I will upgrade the main solution and after I will delete all smaller solutions.

    BR,

    Sven

    1. If you delete Flow Solution, you will delete not the flow itself but its layer. So far you have two layers (versions) of the cloud flow and you are going to delete last one. First layer will stay in the environment.

    2. You don't obliged to update whole Main Solution but this practice may be much more appropriate than creating a lot of smaller solutions every time you implement changes. Update version means you keep all needed components for your project/stream in the same place. It would help any relevant user in the dev team to know all components and dependencies. This is a matter of comprehensive technical design understanding.
