Person Section shows i:0#.f|membership| when I look for a name.

Hello,

I have a brand new List and added only 1 "Person" section.

I opened Power Apps and I added the section with the "Person".

I have done no coding yet, nothing.

Whenever I look for a person, i get this -> "  i:0#.f|membership|  " before the e-mail address.  (attached image)

How can I remove it? I don't want the end user to see something like this i:0#.f|membership|.

    Change the following to ["DisplayName"] in the property of the dropdown.

    Now I feel really dumb. I was trying & researching for the last half hour.

    Thank you Fredrick!

    Kostika, the solution provided is correct, however I am still wondering what caused the problem. It is only since last week that you have to make this change to the people picker properties. In the past - the people picker did not display i:0#.f|membership|, by default. I cannot find an official reference from Microsoft on it.

    Hello,

    I was too happy on Friday with the solution and I continued building my app that I didn't think about that.

    If Microsoft hasn't released something yet, should we consider it as a "bug"?

    Hi Fredrik,

    Thank you for this, this kind of worked for me but not fully. Now the display name is listed but right below is the  i:0#.f|membership|  wording. Is there a way to fully remove this wording? Furthermore, the display names are being listed on the form I am working on (again with the i:0... as well), I saved it and published it, but the form on the Sharepoint site is still only showing the "i:0#.f|membership|"... only. I tried to screenshot but cannot seem to screenshot while open to a drop-down list, sorry.

    Best,

    Bree

    Hi,

    I am new to Power Apps.

    Can you show me step by step to what you have mentioned changing  to ["DisplayName"].

    @takoye

    When you click on a Combox Box, you should see a popup window to the right.
    "Properties" and "Advanced".

    Click Advanced. You may need to click the unlock button to edit.

    The DisplayFields said "Claims". I changed to "DisplayName".

    Sometimes after typing the Power Platform still reverts back to "Claims".  Very Annoying.

    Just copy and paste ["DisplayName"] into the DisplayFields Box and it should take.

    I just converted to office 365 from Sharepoint 2016, what I'm finding is that it is intermittently doing this, it appears that the basic form I use I can resave and then pull the information in powershell and it enumerates properly,

    If you notice. when it incorrectly enumerates, I basically is not separating the values, e.g. LookupValue (which I have set for user) and then I have email value however when it is incorrect the form did not split the 3 values. e.g.

    incorrect

    ,#i:0#.f|membership|USERID@hca.corpad.net,#Jim.James@abc.com,#,#Jim James

    when split correctly

    LookupId 0001
    LookupValue USERID@hca.corpad.net
    Email Jim.James@abc.com

    Again, I can refresh the page or go into the list and tab through and it might work right, it appears more like the timing, the list has to catch up.

    I also have found if I run my script too quickly the people picker entry is fully blank.
