Authentication issues with PowerApps Office Add-In

Dear,

I try to use the PowerApps Office Add-In Data Connector to connect to data on the CDS of a clients' tenant.

I have two AAD accounts: me@mycompany.com and me@theclientscompany.com , both Global Administrator.

When I try to connect to the CDS with the plugin, I get the login screen, where I enter my "theclientscompany" username. It then opens the page for entering the password but immediately redirects to the login screen again, so I get no chance to fill in the password.

The only way around this I found, was adding the "theclientscompany" credentials to my Windows accounts; with this I just select that account and the Add-In authenticates without any problem.

However, I do not want to link all my clients' accounts (I have many of them) onto my Windows machine. Is there any other way around this?

Thanks,

Koen

    Hi @KoenJanssensPD ,

Are you experiencing this issue in Excel online, desktop or both?
Try to clear the cache from your browser to make sure it is not affecting the login issue on your end.

    Regards,

    Ricardo

    Dear @rimatos

I have this error in Excel Desktop.

Clearing cache from Edge did not solve the problem.

When I look at the console from the loginscreen, I see following error appearing the moment I am redirected again to the username selection page:

HTTP401: DENIED - The requested resource requires user authentication. GET - https://autologon.microsoftazuread-sso.com/{theclientsdomain}/winauth/ssoprobe?client-request-id=ec668d02-9b3d-410f-a384-4b2cb9e32e28&_=1598525376787

I believe it would be best to raise a support ticket to Microsoft support through https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home#/support/requests or from https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support, so we can investigate this error in more detail.

Be sure to provide this error message alongside the client request Id so we can investigate this in our internal logs.

    Hope it helps!

    Regards,

    Ricardo
