    Hi Mokhawaja,

Please click the OK button, and sign out then sign in again to see if it works.
Or you could close this Excel sheet and re-open the entity in Excel to see if it works.

The first time I open an entity in Excel, I get the same error with you.
Then I click the OK button and sign out then sign in, then provide my credentials, it works.

Please try it on your side. If you are still getting this issue, please feel free reply.

    Best regards,
    Mabel Mao

    hi @v-yamao-msft,

thank you for your reply... only i need to make some more clarification on what happened with me so everyone can benefit from it, and allow Microsoft to further check on this issue.

i think (and i am not sure about this explanation) that after i did a resources import into my environment from another tenant, i started to see the connection problem with Excel, and what appeared to resolve it is that i deleted the environment, then created a new one with new database then the same error appeared, then used your steps, and it connected normally (by the way i tried your steps several times before deleting my old environment without result).

    thanks.

    Hi @v-yamao-msft,

i still see the error... but i have to sign-in and out, several times until it connects... which is so frustrating, is this some kind of a bug or something?

    kind regards,

    Mohammad Alkhawaja

    Hi Mokhawaja,

    Thanks for your feedback.

When testing this issue on my side, I am also asked to sign-in and sign-out several times until it connects successfully.

I will report this issue from my side and hope it can be smoother.

    Best regards,
    Mabel Mao

We have come across this error in the last couple of weeks.

We have Sophos antivirus and believe it may be the problem as it does not occur when using computers without Sophos.

As it was working up until a couple of weeks ago, I think it is probably due to a Sophos update, however have found no way to resolve this yet.

Didn't check operating systems were the same.

Removed sophos, however the error persisted.

Works with windows 10 machines, does not work with windows 7.

thank you @Anonymous for your post... regarding Sophos, i never had it on my machine... i think the problem is either within Excel, or most propably the Powerapps add-in.

    regards.

Upgraded to windows 10 and it magically works again.

I would say it is an issue with windows 7.

    What are you running?

thank you for your post @Anonymous... actually i am using the latest update of Windows 10, and tried to re-install office several times with no benefit.
