Outlook, event categories

Hi,

I have a calendar, where I mark some meetings into the categories: blue, red, green etc.

I can also see my events in the Power App, and I can see that ThisItem.Categories exist, but I cannot make it work. Can you please help? It is like it thinks categories is a table value...but how would I see it?

Hello, I had hope this help post would refer to the Outlook Calendar connector.

Is there any way to set the category through the syntax in "Post/Create Item"?

(Create calendar event in PowerApps, and also set category of calendar entry. i.e. based on a field value, where existing categories in Outlook Calendar correspond). That would be really great!

    Hi @KayFax ,

It is possible. Just use a formula Office365Outlook.CalendarPatchItem

    Hello,

thanks for the info  - I had checked on the documentation of MS on connectors and it did not list "Category" in the parameters - neither in PatchItem (Update event (V4)-Operation ID: V4CalendarPatchItem) nor in "Create event (V4) Operation ID:V4CalendarPostItem" - but I'll try it out.

Other issue is, that V4 PostItem does not function, but V2 is.

Despite MS insisting one should not use the deprecated V2 anymore.

Other people here posted about the same issue...
