I’m using a Combo box control in Power Apps for a new app, but its default selection isn’t loading the expected data.

I have the same question (0)

    Hope you are setting the value in the DefaultSelectedItems  property of the combo box?

    What is the formula (Power Fx) you written in that ?

    In my case, the registration form is split across two screens. On the first screen, I store the input values into a collection. On the second screen, I hide the fields from the first screen and set their default values using the LookUp function to retrieve data from the collection.

    However, when I hide these fields, I receive an error indicating that required fields are missing (as they are marked required).

    If I change them to not required, the record is created successfully, but the selected values in all combo boxes appear blank.

    When I keep the fields visible and submit the form, all combo boxes retain their selected values correctly

    ClearCollect(
        col_new_proj_firstscreen,
        {
            var_ProjectName: DataCardValue_pmoob_projname_2.Value,
            var_RequestDate: DataCardValue7.SelectedDate,
            var_Program: DataCardValue_pmoob_program_2.Selected.'Program Name',
            var_Entity: DataCardValue_pmob_entity_2.Selected.Value,
            var_classification: DataCardValue_requestroute.Selected.Value,//classification
            var_BriefScope: DataCardValue_pmoob_briefscope_2.Value,
            var_Grouping: DataCardValue_Drp_Grouping.Selected.Value,
            var_StrategicAlignment: DataCardValue_ExecInfoStrategicAlignment.Selected.Value,

        }
    );

    Highligted fields except program is choices . Program is a lookup .In all these fields I used combobox .

    In Second screen I have these fields hidden and their datacard values default selected property is set to

    LookUp(Choices('StrategicAlignmentChoices'),Value= First(col_new_proj_firstscreen).var_StrategicAlignment)

    LookUp(Choices('EntityChoice'),Value= First(col_new_proj_firstscreen).var_Entity),
    LookUp(Choices('RequestTypeChoice'),Value= First(col_new_proj_firstscreen).var_classification)

    LookUp('Program Registrations','Program Name'= First(col_new_proj_firstscreen).var_Program)
      like this ..
