Looking for some help on the following scenario:

  • PowerApp with a Form which has 80+ fields
  • User completes part of the form
    • "Submit" button remains disabled.
  • User clicks "Save Changes" button
    • Patch(?) pushes changes to data source
  • Somehow flag these partially complete forms in datasource (?)
  • Display partially completed forms to user on Start Screen(?)
  • Allow user to select partially completed form, load the answers they have already answered
  • User completes remaining field forms and Clicks "Submit" button.

Any help and ideas are appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi @ericonline

Can you add one more field as a flag for whether the item is complete?

On home page use a gallery filtered to 'Complete = false' (identifies the partially completed records).

When the user eventually clicks submit, set 'Complete = true' as part of your Patch statement.

Thanks for the reply @PaulD1. I will try that method for displaying partially completed forms.

Do you have insights on the other aspects?

    • Do you think the use of Patch mentioned above will work?
    • Once user selects a partially complete form from Start Screen Gallery, how are the completed answers displayed on the Form?
    • How does user add the remaining values to Form?

    Eric
