Issue with Date Format

I created a Power App and moved it to another environment.

I am in the U.S.

The host environment is in Canada.

For some reason, all Datepickers, and Labels with dates, are malfunctioning.

When I open the app (with a Dev credential) in the host environment I see -

When the host opens the app, in their environment - for which they are
Administrator, they see -

Throughout the app, where is date is retrieved and displayed -
whether in a Label or Datepicker, the long date/time format is
displayed.

The Label Text property has - "Published:  " & Text(Today())

Why is this happening and can is be corrected, so that the content appears
as 00/00/0000, or is this a regional issue, and the date content is showing in
the designed default format?

I think its a side effect of a regional issue.  In Canada dates are printed dd/MM/yy but in the US they are MM/dd/yy. Since your Text() function doesn't specify a format to use it is defaulting to one that won't reverse the month and day in the new region.  To fix it I would suggest using an Environment variable to designate the region and then specify an actual date format in the TEXT() functions based on the region.

I agree with @Pstork1, the only part I am not sure of is if you need to know the region for your requirement.

You mentioned it always being 00/00/0000 but not whether you want it to always be MM or dd first. So if you want it by region then yes you would need a way to do that, either at run time, as you might have many regions that access it, but the location is in only one place, so you may not be able to just use a single environment variable, but possibly put in a Function to select the region and go from there.

If you pick the same format all the time and format i mean structure and MM or dd first, make sure to add a tooltip and notes in your functional, technical and user guides so people know :-)

    Just some thoughts I'd share
