Problem on Q&A after start over

Hi, 

 

My problem happened when developing chatbot using PVA on Teams.

 

I redirect the system topics "start over" to greeting, for user who want to restart the conversation.

The problem was, when the conversation goes to the default question after greeting, chatbot could not recognize the answer, and show error message "Sorry, I am not able to find a related topic. Can you rephrase and try again?".

 

This does not happen in test bot, but happened in published chatbot.

 

May I know how to solve?

    What does your start over and greeting topics look like? Could you share a screenshot?

     

    By default the "Start over" topic sends the person to "Greeting" topic.

    Thanks! Start over topics is as shown below.

    I tried to changed the flow in start over topics, to ask a question to confirm whether user really want to restart conversation or not, by YES or NO, but chat bot could not recognize the answer for the question neither.

    Can you try, and remove the bot from teams and re adding it. If your issue is only happening on published bot, and not in testing, possibly sync issue.

     

    What does your start over topic look like with the added condition?

    I think that it is a Microsoft issue because I already talk 2 months ago about this problem here: Solved: Bot not working the same when published to Teams - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

     

    I suggest opening a ticket inside the PVA support: https://powervirtualagents.microsoft.com/en-us/support

    But he solved using the solution below:

    "Found a workaround for this. Instead of using the system topic Start Over, I've created a new topic called End the Chat and added trigger words such as stop, exit, quit etc. Then instead of having the user type start to start over again (which would have triggered the Start Over topic), they type in one of the triggers from the system topic Greeting such as Hi, Hello etc."

    Thanks. I tried to uninstall and add the chatbot apps again, but it still does not work.

     

    The start over topic I created for YES/NO was using the "ask a question" with multiple choice mode.

    It did not work too.

    Refer to the thread you shared, I will cannot avoid the bug when user key in trigger phrases in start over topics right?(e.g. start over, restart etc.) You have any idea how to off the system topic, or edit the trigger phrases for system topics?

    Hi @Jeklon ,

     

    Exactly.

    You cannot disable yet the system topic, but you can edit this topic going to authoring, and remove all messages inside this topic and add a node that redirects to your custom topic. 🙂

     

    "+" >> "End conversation" >> "Redirect to topic"

    I tried to redirect the start over topics to greeting once without adding any message in this topic, but same problem happened. Seems like it goes wrong once directed to "start over" topic.😢

    Hi!

     

    I'm with the same and looks like it's a problem when integrates the PVA to the Msft Teams. Please fix it... 🙂
