Managed environments & Licensing (PAYG)

Hi,

I am considering turning some environments into managed environments (to use Pipelines), combined with Pay-as-you-go licensing.

I get that premium licenses are required for all users in managed environments, but can I use PAYG licenses aswell?

Ofcourse I came across this page:

Licensing - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

But the bullets in the 'important' note are confusing me; are there situations in which you actually could use managed environments with PAYG licenses? If not, is this feature on a roadmap?

I hope someone can help me out.

I have the same question.  Why Microsoft would exclude PAYGo is beyond ridiculous.  Just trying to get their piece of the pie I guess.  *following

I am also wondering this and I agree the following statement is very confusing:

At this time, enabling pay-as-you-go for a managed environment will not be sufficient to meet Managed Environments licensing requirements, if:

    • There are users without standalone Power Apps licenses using Power Apps in that environment.

My interpretation of the above is: ‘You can use PAYG in a managed environment as long as there are no users consuming non-premium apps’

    Really hope someone can clarify.
