I've been bumping into the same problem with a Copilot I created back in November/December. It was working great with Sharepoint/Generative Answers for a while. Then recently it stopped providing answers through the generative answers topic (just responds with blank).
I get this error occasionally when trying to disable/enable generative boosting.
HTTP Status:PreconditionFailed, ServiceRequestId: ab00ceab-436c-485b-9a84-c2a6079735ab [0x80060882:ConcurrencyVersionMismatch] The version of the existing record doesn't match the RowVersion property provided.
I get this error when saving any topic at all while Conversational Boosting topic's status is set to On.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I feel that these errors are related to my Copilot's inability to generate answers anymore but I'm unable to pinpoint what's causing this. I've tried creating a new bot and copying the code for the gen boosting topic with no luck. Tried disabling/enabling but I'm unable to due to the errors.
One thing I've noticed is that the conversational boosting is constantly marked as being edited by me, even for days at a time. I noticed the problems start to occur more frequently as I switched to the web-based copilot studio as well.
Any help in diagnosing this would be highly appreciated! My Copilot went from being extremely useful to being a brick.
Hi @cjcote39 - I am glad the logout / clear cache & cookies worked! Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback here, I'm sure it will be useful for others!
I originally tried logging out and it was not successful. I logged out again, cleared my cookies/cache for specifically PVA/Copilot related cookies, closed my browser and started it back up. After signing in I was no longer dealing with the errors above and I was able to get my copilot back to a workable state. So thank you @remidyon for putting me back on the right track.
As a note, I've noticed it consistently happens when I am editing a topic (Conversational Boosting in this instance), then I leave the tab for a while and come back. Seems like the process of the tab going to sleep starts to trigger the error above again until I log out/in again. I've been avoiding unnecessarily leaving a topic open in the editing pane before leaving the tab and I haven't had any more issues.
Hi @cjcote39
We have several customers raising the same issue. First could you try to log out and login again of the copilot studio portal? That could solve your issue.
If not then I suggest you open a customer support ticket.
Sorry about that
