Email Activity Not Rendering In Line Image Files

Hi All

We have a model driven app that has in a custom entity - associated activities that includes the email activity.  Users are able to send an email to a shared mailbox that triggers a flow which creates both an entity record and then attaches to it an email activity.  The email activity works in all cases quite well when looking at it from within the application but just cannot seem to render any images inline (i.e. within the content of the email).  Instead you get the images as attachments with generic names like image001 etc.  I have looked at various MS articles and it should be possible for any email activity to show the images when viewed from within the application - but currently where the images should be rendered and displayed we are seeing placeholders.

The image themselves meet the criteria for rendering which is to ensure they are less then 1MB in size, and are a type that is allowed to be rendered (in this case PNG).

Can someone advise if I am missing a setting or something needs to be adjusted for images to show up in email activities.

Thanks,
Zia

    Hi,

Every file saved in Dataverse creates record in FileAttachment table (system table that you can't reach through Make Portal, but you can use in many ways). With Activity Table, which is a special system parent table, you can use the grid referring to 'Attachment' to reach your file form email. I'm not sure if it is visible/present on Email form by default, but you can add the component if not:

Now, on your form, you should get something like that:

You should be able to see your file here.

    I hope it helps!

@GabGadou - unfortunately your answer does not answer my question - I already have the attachments and I can see them, what I want is for the email itself to show the images rather than a placeholder for the image.
