I have created a ticket and it has been 5 to 6 weeks Microsoft busy checking!

I was asked to copy my environment more than 5 times for their team to inspect.

Poor.

Anyone facing such?

I have the same question (0)

    HI @Yahya,

Are you still having this issue? To isolate the problem, try the following things:

    1. Does it work as a system administrator user which should by default have access to field level security?
    2. Create a dummy table with field level security enabled fields and a dummy (field security profile) FSP. Test with a user (or a test account), make sure the user is part of the new dummy FSP.

Let me know how that goes, cheers

Ok let me know how that goes. Field Level Security is a pretty mature feature. I'll be surprised if it's a bug.... Possible to share more info to help?

It was early OCT when I created the support ticket. no success despite many sessions and environment copies etc, until recently.

What I can confirm that there is a bug. Read the following: -

What has caused the problem is that in one custom Table, I created an image column, and set its field permission enabled.

Microsoft suggested that I delete that Table, was a hard time for me but I did. The new Table didn't have an image field anyhow.

I eventually have deleted the old Table (which enabling its image field security created the problem).

    The problem would still exist.

I read online to realize that fields with their field security enabled are listed in a Table called Field Permissions. No access to this Table via the portal, I accessed it via Excel add in.

Weird enough the Image column that I enabled its field permission in the Table that was deleted, was still existing in the Field Permission Table.

I tried to delete that record, with no success.

After 6 weeks, I guided Microsoft to delete that record, was done, and then my system was working perfectly again.

I had a call from the Microsoft team manager to apologize, I said its fine, the whole year was hectic by all means. I only meant to guide the team behind of this bug.

Bottom line, do not enable field permission on image columns, I guess also on file columns
