Hi All,

How can I pass text box value from Main form to quick create form.

My scenario is I have a Case Number on my main form and I have a quick create form for document reference.

When I try to add new document reference type record, I do have a field Case Number in Document reference type screen

I want to prepopulate whatever Case Number is there in Main form on my Quick create form

How to achieve this

You can some ways to do that.

1 - Using javascript you can use openForm() in client api (openForm (Client API reference) in model-driven apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn) to pass the value as parameter to open that.

2 - Using too javascript when open the quick form, you will have the lookup field of the case, because I assume that is 1:N between case and document reference, with the lookup field you can retrieve the data and set the case number.

3 - using a workflow when the user save the data, using the relationship with the case populate the field during the creation with real-time workflow.
