Update of an Environment Variable

Hi all,

I don't know why but all of a sudden I've started seeing this notification inside my environments (both dev and prod):

sdedic_1-1695916473529.png

When I click on the blue text, this is what I get:

sdedic_2-1695916489496.png

I am using 4 environment variables inside one solution, but those variables contain values and there is no need for any update. I am also sure that notification is not related to my env variables as it says that I need to enter "Unique name of the solution the Dataverse Accelerator is working out of". Does anyone have any clue why I am being asked this?

Hello @eshratanjum64 , you does not have to configure this variable. Check @AlbertoCastro ticket to MS and their response here:

    Hi all,

I am also facing same issue. Not sure what value to be put there. Anyone has found something on that?

    Thank you @AlbertoCastro.
It looks like we all have same concerns towards MS and their actions. Once again thank you for finding out about this topic and sharing it here.

Re: Update of an Environment Variable

I opened a support case about this topic and this is the answer:

The environment variable from the Dataverse Accelerator app, is optional. You don’t need to populate it.
On a later release, it will even be removed and this notification will not appear to you anymore.

As agreed I will proceed with the archive of this service request.

    Issue:
Customer has noticed the Dataverse Accelerator app was installed and it is asking to populate an environment variable.

    Solution:
This is optional, and there is no action required from the customer side.
On a later release this will not appear.
This app is to discover the latest feature set available.

Re: Update of an Environment Variable

I just filled it in with "Dataverse Accelerator" and it's gone away. No downside to this as of yet.

Same here in some of our environments, any news on what value is needed to set up there?

Re: Update of an Environment Variable

I had a similar issue last week with the same variable and the same apps. It's reassuring to know I'm not alone in facing this challenge.
